new truck !!! what next.

So i just pick up a 2006 6.0 charoal gray/ black bottom lariat . i love the truck so far. ALready has edge juice tuner, and guy said has arp head studs and egr delete. not sure how to tell if those are actually done. im new to 6.0s. I know i want exhaust and intake. but dont want the super loud jet sound from straight pipe. Who has exhaust with muffler that sounds good, or still has cat. im not sure which way to go. Any other things i should look into? thanks

My opinion is ditch the edge in favor of a custom tuned SCT. Also a 4" exhaust with muffler is my choice. Very throaty sound with a bit of whistle, but not raspy like a straight pipe. Head studs and EGR delete are easy to verify. The EGR cooler will not be there. Just a re-route pipe/hose where the cooler is located under the passenger side intake plenum, just inside the valley from the passenger side head. Studs can be verified by checking out the driver's side head, towards the front. If you still have OEM bolts you will see the hex head. If you have studs you will see this...

Congrats on the new truck! Read alot on these forums and take care of the few preventative maintanence things and you'll have a great all around truck. I absolutely love mine. I also agree with ditching the Edge and get it custom tuned with an SCT. You will be amazed at the amount of power that you can get with custom tuning vs the Edge.
