Difference between companies?

I FINALLLY convinced my Dad to get a SCT but I think he wants the livewire now. So now I don't whether to get Innovative Diesel's tunes or Elite-Diesel's tunes. I hear that they both kick some serious butt and was just wondering if there is any real performance difference between them? Or am I just kind of comparing apples to apple since they're the same? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Elite, ID, Spartan, and DJ's all run really good tunes and we have folks on here running all of them. I think we have a bunch of great vendors and it comes down to service and your comfort/familiarity with them.

Do they make a smoke tune for the SCT, and if running it from time to time what can be messed up from the smoke tunes?

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll start emailing the vendors and asking about their tunes ASAP. Can't wait to wake up my Dad's eyes to REAL performance tuning.
