Best synthetic motor oil for 6.0?

I've been looking at either amsoil or royal purple, which do you guys recommend to be the best oil for our 6.0's?

If I had to pick from the two, it would be Amsoil. I prefer Mobile 1.

Wow, this will open up a can of worms. Well IN MY OPINION (because at the end of the day that is all any of this is), from everything I have read and the experience I have had with Amsoil, I would say that it is the best oil you can buy. It also very pricey. It has been around forever in the racing world and has done me solid. This isnt to say that there arent any other good oils out there but like I said, IMO Amsoil is the best of them.

I'm not sold on just Royal Purple or Amsoil, I'm open to other options just trying to get a consensus on what others use on here. I have been using the Motorcraft oil since I bought the truck, but have been reading synthetic will be a lot better in the long run and would like to go that route.

This is what I run in my truck and it doesnt run rough ever. Even in temps below 20F.

AMSOIL Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil (DEO)

I also like to see how it breaks out against other oils in terms of how its viscosity holds up over time. As you can see Extreme Blue doesnt quite hold up as well. Not trying to bash valvoline oil but just saying what an independent tester found out.

I run Rotella T6 cuz my truck likes it and it is easy to find. I read a thread a while back someplace where almost all diesel oils were tested, and Redline came out as the best oil to use. For what it costs, it better be the best lol

does anyone else get looked at retarded walking into advance and either A)) asking for 15 quarts of Mobil or B) walking up to the counter with 4 gallons of oil?

I go to the same advance most of the time and i swear i get a different person every time and i get the holy hell what do you need that much oil for do you have 5 cars?

My response is i hear there is an oil shortage figure i would stock up, but then again I also tell people "it's a hybrid" when they ask me what the power plug is hanging from the front of the truck's lower grille.
