Turbo and injector combo advice

Ok guys, I'm stock rite now and am looking for some intel as far as what brands and sizes of turbo and injectors to go with. Looking for some extra tire smoking horses.

Not too crazy expensive if that's possible....

It all depends on what you really want your truck to do. I can guarantee you that a set of warren's (either 155s or 175s) injectors with a modded dmax LLY turbo (like Madpowerstroke is doing) will give you a very fun street machine and will smoke your tires all day long.

In terms of what? Turbo, injectors, or both? Injectors - 155cc with 30% nozzles. Turbo - the most popular is of course the Powermax Garrett gt3788va is the next size up from stock.

The PowerMax will support up to 175's. We are currently testing some NON-VGT combos for bigger injectors.

I would believe that but that is really the practical limit IMO. It would be nice to see a non-VGT setup with good spooling for some 175s.

I don't mean to sound like a party pooper but what supporting mods do you have in place, or plan on doing before upgrading injectors and turbo? The least you should have if you plan on injector and turbo upgrades are headstuds and EGR delete. You also need a good monitoring solution that will also read fuel pressure. Depending on injector size you may need to upgrade your fuel system as well. There is more I haven't mentioned.

Have you tuned your truck yet? Get some gauges and a good custom tune and you will be amazed at what your truck can do with stock hard parts...

I have a Live Wire with EGT sensor coming. Still waiting to see what all it monitors. Hopefully I will see it today. Other than that just exhaust. I wasnt planning on studs until somthing goes wrong. The "studs or no studs" thread helped. Seeing so many who havent and have had success. Im just a daily driver no racing or anything like that so thot I'd try my luck.

After my programmer gets put on I may be just fine and not want anything else. We will see.

You need to walk before you can run. Have you done exhaust with the tuner? You will be surprised what the tuner will do.

Sent from my smart phone that seems dumb compared to my wifes new phone...
