Talking NUC Oil Bypass Filtration Kit Install. PICS!

Installed my Oil Bypass Filtration Kit from www.nucmotorsports.com. Had to move the location of my Sinister Coolant Filter to the Oil Bypass Filter bracket that is bolted to the alternator. I also added fittings to the oil bypass kit so I have the ability to sample oil and monitor oil temperature. So for all those folks who have a coolant filter, it is possible to mount both in that location.

Note: Temp sensor wires will be connected tonight and be neatly loomed and protected. Also, the coolant filter hose resting on the bracket will be protected from wear somehow. Haven't figured it out yet...

Where did you get the bracket to mount the Sinister filter head to?

Looks great by the way! I've been going back and forth on which of several different oil bypass kits to get.

It's the bracket that comes the Sinister kit, but it's cut to size. It really worked out great! I think NUC has put the most research into the oil filter cap. That's the main reason I chose to go with the NUC kit.

The point of his thread? To show off his handi-work and show that the NUC bypass system will work with the Sinister coolant filter.

Or, the point of the oil bypass install? To provide a better filtration system than just the stock filter alone can provide, while possibly extending oil life(debatable).

Added filtration for your oil... Extended oil life... Less soot and particles for your injectors...

Weeellll, you've gotta be careful saying it will extend the oil life. That is widely debated. Reason being is because a lot of people believe the reason for the 5k oil changes is due to the oil shear caused by the HPOP rather than the cleanliness of the oil.
