6.4 banjo upgrade with dual alternators
ive read all the threads on why to upgrade and the ones why not. well i have them and im in the process of putting in a new oil cooler and supporting upgrades. everybody says the drivers side is a pain, well i got that done in about 5 mins. my problem is the passenger side. the bolt is directly behind the second alt. has anybody ever done this. it looks like ill have to take off half the front accessory drive. now im rethinking if its that hard to get to. any insight would be great. thanks

I am in the process of doing mine...along with replacing a push rod and rocker arm. The only way I saw to get to it is to remove the alternator, tensioner, and bracket...the banjo is behind all of that. It's a pain but I figure since I have the truck apart I might as well do it. Good luck and I can try and get some pics tomorrow if you need.

i opted out of these for a couple of reasons. first it has been heavily raining here and i have been having to work under a pop up tent in order to get all this done on time. second is it didnt look terribly easy to get to the passenger side and third i lost one of the crush washers and my local dealer doesnt stock them. i still have the bolts and plan to install them once i get some more time off and the weather clears up
