CCV disappointment

So, the first thing I want to say to start this off by saying, I'm pleased with the time they (the company I got it from) took out of their day to email me back about it their CCV kit. Very informative and what not, but that's where it ends.

What I got in the mail was NOT a $114.95 product. I got $10 worth of PVC , some orange plastic stringy nonsense on the inside to act as a filter, a drain and some plastic barbs...oh and the exhaust pipe clamp that holds it to the bracket. Very very disappointed, especially when I could have gotten the Racor 6000 with a replaceable filter for the same price off ebay. I really would consider sending it back for a refund, but then I would be subject to a 20% restocking fee, so I would only get back $91, and then would still have to fabricate my own. Don't waste your money.

Now, with that be said, I'm not saying the product is a bad product, I'm merely saying that the CCV mod I received is not worth $99.95 + $15.00 shipping. Again, don't let this be a product (quality) concern thread, I'm just merely saying it is not worth the $114.95 spent to get it. Like I said, the filter (or orange stringy stuff rather) is not replaceable unless I break the glue on the cap. At some point the oil will deteriorate that and it will need replaced. At least the Racor 6000 has replaceable filters. Take it for what it's worth, that's my $0.02 and I'm entitled to it.

I spent about $15 and ran heater hose under the cab. Cheap, easy and it works.

I'm sorry but what is the point of this thread? If you bought a product that seems over priced and not made of good quality then let us know. If I was in your situation I would want everyone to know how I feel about the product. Sorry if I am missing the point to your thread.

The point of my thread is that you can make your own CCV mod for way less than what I paid. I'm not bashing the company, just it's prices. I'm not going to put them on blast on here because there are plenty of people who would misconstrue that to me saying that they are a horrible company with horrible customer service. That's why I didn't put the companies name in it in the first place. Do a google search for 6.0 powerstroke ccv mod and you'll figure it out.

Not to mention, I never said it was not good quality, I said it was just over priced. It's quality heavy duty PVC, that didn't cost anywhere near $115.

I can respect that. I had a very good guess on which company you were talking about, and I'm sure alot of other people are going to figure it out with out you saying. Just make sure you don't post pictures of it!!!
