Upgrade Questions
I am thinking about ordering a triple gauge kit and head studs for my truck to prepare for the SCT Livewire. Where is the best place to go for the gauges? Are they typically easy to install myself? How about the head studs, do they need to be installed by the dealer or can I do it myself? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I do the Livewire, do I need to get gauges, doesn't the livewire have built in gauges?

The livewire has built in guages....
Go to the NC meet & greet in November and have Scott and the techs there install the headstuds for ya ![]() as for doing them yourself - I have no idea if its something you can do or not...but I think it is pretty involved! |

If you are technically inclined, you could install the studs yourself but if you can afford to get them professionally done, I would suggest you go that route. Some dealers will even do it under warranty. If and how long your headgaskets will last after the installation depends greatly on them being installed correctly. We have the studs in stock and can install them also but personally I would wait until they pop. If it ain't broke, don't fix it
With the Livewire you can monitor up to 6 gauges. Thanks, Vivian |
