Thinking about switching to a single stack

Like the title says I am thinking about switching from my 4in TB to a single stack in the bed. My only real concern is the noise level. My 4in straight pipe is loud as heck if I get on it but I can barley hear it if Im just cruising, which I like. Do stacks have a really bad drone all the time?

Ive got a 5" turbo back to a single 7" miter. I originally had a 5" turbo back single exit. If you keep the rpms down its not bad. If i do 55 mph on the freeway its actually really quiet. But when you get on it its freakin nasty loud. If you drive with the rear slider open too dont plan on being able to have a conversation or listen to the radio, the whistle is insane.
