Water/Meth is good for anything...expecially with Custom tunes.

Studs should run you $800-ish.....and labor (at the dealer) is in the $100/HR rate. If you HG's go...and you have them replaced at the dealer...but the ARP studs and have them put those in.

Water/Meth can be run stock - Nate was running it, but blew the HG -- Stump has them and is getting studded in November...

Might ask Scuffy (scott) what the labor time is for studs...

I was quoted $3200.00 for the labor plus the studs this week at Mall of Georgia Ford. I think they told me it was lik 31 hours. I may be wrong though I was so shocked when he told me the price I kinda quit listening. So, now Im gonna run crap out of it and pray they blow in the next 10K miles. I was wondering the same thing about meth without studs, but at this point it doesnt matter.

Yes - it will cool your EGT's like no other and may help mileage some too... heck - you can run a little meth in there too without worry as long as you are using it for those purposes and not racing/high RPM/high HP

actually i hope no one here pays that much for studs. i had mine delivered to my door with shipping for 425 bucks total. from gus at farmboys.
those are ARP's.
also as far as labor, most shops flag the rate around 2000 bucks. i wouldn't pay more. there are several dealerships around texas, NC, and jersey that will do the work for you for warranty, get ahold of scuffy, he'll do them under warranty and he does great work.

straight water will help for egt yes, and for that matter, the methanol does too. if you are going to use a mix, then keep the methanol at 15% or less, this seems to be the magical number where the amount of methanol is beneficial for EGT drop, any more than that and you are crossing the threshold, and the egt's will start to go back up with the added power.
