Custom tunes?

Ok so I ordered my SCT Livewire last night. I know it's big and u have to turn it on/off no biggie. How do u get in contact with these tune writers you all talk about? Do u just tell them your setup and they send u a tune? Thanks in advance!!

You can either call or email the tune writers, just be patient they will get back to you.


Your gonna use the SCT to get your strategy hex code, write it down. You also need to write down your SCT device serial number.

When you get a hold of a tune writer, they are gonna want to know your strategy hex code and SCT serial number, along with any mods done to the truck.


They will email you the tunes, then save the tunes on to your PC. Use the SCT software to transfer the tunes from your PC to the SCT.


Here is the basic concept, but you will load up the SCT Livewire software.

The Livewire comes with 5 canned tunes, so those are already on the device.


The custom tunes cost money, depending on who you get them from, $50-$75 for a single tune or $100-$165 for a package of 3 tunes.

Ok thanks again. I'll see how the pre-programmed ones work for a little while. With a stock truck except for exhaust I don't want to get to crazy and hurt the truck.

While your at it, you can set up the Livewire to read EOT. It don't come pre-loaded to read EOT, you will use the Liveload software to add the PID to the LiveWire.

Ok. EOT engine oil temp? I got the egt sensor for it but gonna have to find someone to install it. I'm no mechanic, even tho it appears easy enough to do. Is there somewhere that's dates what the parameters are for all these things?
