Fuel Pressure Gauge Install
So i just installed an Autometer fuel pressure gauge on my truck. I installed the sender on the top of the billet aluminum fuel filter cap that I had. When I first installed the billet cap, it was leaking a little because of the stock o-ring that was on it was wrong size. I replaced o-ring with different one and it seems to be fine now. Has anybody installed a fuel pressure gauge using the fuel filter cap??? Any thoughts/criticisms would be appreciated. I have already ordered the kit to move the sender to a remote location, but it seems to be working fine for now....reading 62psi at idle. Is it recommended to put sender in a remote location??

how much clearance between the sensor and the hood. and where did you mount the guage. a lot of people are using the test port on the side of the filter.

There is plenty of clearance. I already ordered the braided hose remote kit to mount on the side. This was just temporary, but if it continues to work, I might just leave it.
