Nav system with Tuner??
Does anyone know of an aftermarket Nav system that can integrate a tuner/monitor?
Just bought my first diesel and I'm looking to start building, so in stead of have two or 3 separate stand alone devices (tuner, monitor, piro) thought it would be cool to have it all in one in-dash touch screen setup. Oh yeah, new truck is an 05 F-350 King Ranch 6.0 PSD, crew cab, single rear, short box. Already has EGR delete and just got my sinister coolant filter kit in the mail today. Thanks! |

I would imagine it could all be integrated into the new SCT iTsx. You have to run it with and Ipod, Iphone, or Ipad. But they should take care of the GPS capability and allow u to monitor everything. Although the are still kinda new and prolly dont have all the kinks worked out!

None that I know of, you would have to find a way to install a iPad into the dash and use the iTSX from SCT. You can also check out MP3car.com for custom ideas. But for the 6.0, SCT with custom tunes is gonna be the best for a tuner. The SCT is a flash tuner that requires you to turn off your truck to put a tune in.
The other options are using your smart phone as a monitor (Torque for android platform and DashBoss for iOS platform). The DashBoss has video out capability so you can hook up the iOS device to a external monitor. |

Aftermarket GPS
In January I purchased a 2006 F350 SD PS LB SRW with 6 Speed MT. I had removed my aftermarket from my previous vehicle. I quickly replaced the OEM Ford radio with my aftermarket unit. I am using a Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT with a Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM receiver. I added a BOYO VTL422C rear view camera and AXXESS steering wheel control interface. The radio provides excellent GPS service, Bluetooth phone interface, AM/FM radio operation, Traffic Radio, XM or Sirius radio service, iPod or iPhone interface. The radio also provides connection to Pandora or other internet radio services. I purchased my unit and options through Crutchfield. I am very pleased with my radio and the Crutchfield support.

IMO, if your looking for a to consolidate gadgets in your truck, you can use the X-3 to load your tunes then put the X-3 on the shelf/closet/glovebox. Then you'll want a decent monitoring solution. Here is where you gotta weigh the pro/con of the Edge Insight CS/CTS, ScangaugeII, Torque, or DashBoss. Only you will know what you want in your truck, so start reading up on the features and abilities of the mentioned monitor solutions. |
