Intake Elbow

Does anybody on here have an intake elbow installed on their truck? I was thinking about getting a Banks unless somebody has a better suggestion. Does this help your power or MPG? Are they tough to install yourself. Any info would be appreciated.

I have one (from Dfuser). I can't really say that it helped, because I put my 4" exhaust on at the same time. I will say this: When I test drove it afterwards, I blew the Turbo Hot Air hose off twice. Lots more throttle response and some added power.
Now:
Was it just the elbow?
Was it just the exhaust?
Was it a combination of the two?
Surely it was the FBD turbo back exhaust (plug for ya' Gus) with the free-flow muffler, I would say. But who knows for sure?
Looks good anyway, and it has a tapped port on it for gauge or injection. Not a bad price on the elbow either.

x2, here and I installed them at the same time, too! But, I didn't go blowing any tubes off my elbow.... J/K Big Al.

It really happened - twice. I was on a dirt road down from my house. Test run #1: Boosted in 4wd - took off like a slingshot. About the time for 2nd gear to shift - BOOM! Lost almost all power - scared me it was so loud. I knew I had really messed up. Blew the hot hose off going to the intercooler. Well I limped back to the house with it and fixed it (turbo whine really loud & whistling - almost no power). 2nd run - same thing. Well I put the fix on it and let the sealant sit overnight. Been OK ever since.

I have the polished stainless one that discount power parts sells. I don't think I noticed a difference from the pipe. maybe like 1-6hp (yes... possibly 6), but with everything i have done, it didn't hurt to put it on! It's an addition if anything, can't loose there!

I run my water/meth through it and my boost gauge off of it. once my truck comes back from the studs and gaskets install I'll take some pics.

Well. we have the Innovative Diesel SS elbows, BD, and now CFM+. so we have lots to choose from. Now I need to get them on the site lol.

now when you say you have the cfm+, are you saying it is available NOW for sale, or are they still in preorder phase, because i cant seem to find anyone who has them available

No, we are also waiting for them to arrive. I should have mentioned that. IF they are as nice as the Dodge elbows, they are very cool.
