SCT Livewire, no strategy
So a couple days ago I decided to change from a custom tune (free Hybrid Race) back to the SCT canned tune. Seemed to go smoothly and acted as it should. Turn the key off, turn it back on and no injector buzz or fuel pump or start; just cranking. Weird, check strategy in Livewire and it say my ECM has no strategy. Like it's just blank. So I re-loaded my stock tune to the ECM from the LW and it worked fine, then bumped up to the Canned tune.
And during all this, I lost one of my unlocks.....wtf? any ideas or has this ever happened to someone else going from custom to canned. And I could've swore your supposed to be able to go between tunes and stock all you want without loosing unlocks as long as you don't change vehicles. |

Here is some reading material for you.
TSX 8900 - 5/5 but only used on 1 truck? Also, in one of your first posts, you mentioned that you suspected the prior owner ran a Bullydog programmer. Read post #12. Innovative Diesel..better salesmen than custom tunes!! |

Thanks, guess I'll get with SCT about my '03 robbing unlocks...Don't want a stock tune from them if they can't give me my current rolled-back strategy. Wonder if they'll even work with me since I bought it second hand.
I knew about the bullydog issue, that's not it. It wasn't the prior owner, it was before he had the truck. It'd been to the dealer with the prior owner and I've had PHP reflash the ECM as well. Also, is SCT no long a sponsor? I couldn't find them in the listing. |
