Will the transmission hold?

I have a 04 6.0. It has solution kit and powermax turbo. Tuned by gearhead. I want to put some 190s in but im sure the trainy wouldnt take it very well. So would i have to build tranny right away?

These trannies will hold up to a pretty decent amount of power if not dogged too heavily.

If you drive in a civilized mannner (so not like me lol) the tranny should stand up to a pmax and 190s, but if you ever do burnouts or boosted launches, I don't know how long it will last. You should probably plan on building your tranny in the future.

:whs: you'll be too addicted to quit the burn outs, unless you put a brand new set of tires on. Even then you may not quit. Just sayin.

I am looking into doing the same thing on my truck so i talked to couple of diesel shops and they both said the ford tranny's are pretty stout and i shouldnt have any issues. That being said its only common sense that ifyou rag it out then its gonna get ragged out.

With proper tuning you should be set. 5r100 is VERY stout.
