6.0 turbo upgrade.

Hey guys I'm looking to be upgrading my turbo and injectors. I been doing research on the powermaxx but I been hearing about the low end spool is pretty bad. I would like to know what other ones are out there. This truck doesn't tow. It's mainly a dd. I do have the mods that are need to keep the motor together.
Thanks in advance.
Aaron

What kind of budget are you working with here and what are your goals with the truck?

The Powermax is agood turbo for what it is. It is just a slight upgrade over stock and nothing more.

Don't believe everything you hear, I have a powermax with the batmowheel upgrade and it spools great! No complaints here. For the money it's a awesome upgrade.

So you are shooting for high 500s and over 1000 tq? You are going to need more than the powermax. To get those kind of numbers, you will need at least 190cc injectors, 225s would for sure get you there. Then your best bet would be to get a nonVGT turbo, like a 64mm or 66mm, or twins, but that is getting expensive. Of course, at that point, you will need to build the tranny too.

Yea I would probably recommend 205cc injectors with 100% over stock nozzles and probably a 64/71/70 non-VGT for starters. You will have more fuel than air but it should be VERY streetable and fun. I would estimate you being over 550hp. To get the most out of the injectors, you would need a compound turbo setup. With compounds you definitely be in the high 5's and probably over 6.

race tune and a .88 jet theres your high 500's.... sorry but 3k is way too low of a budget to really even hit 500 to the rear tires.
