Liberator performance Y pipe

I need a new Y-pipe. What is the general consensus on the Liberator Y pipe? Are there any Yays or Nays on this product? The price seems right.

I have heard of guys who bought it and liked it and others who said it didnt fit right. Take it for what it is worth but I would look at marylandperfdiesel.com as they have a y-pipe with the bellows upgraded. JMO.

I have the y-pipe from Elite and it is a nice piece.
Similar to the one from Maryland performance.

either one would do and you could still use your egr system if you have it in place still.

I have been waiting on Maryland performance diesel for 3 weeks.... my order just went from "pending" to "ready to ship" after 2 weeks. Their customer service has been beyond horrible.

Hopefully one of these days I will get my part as I can't get a old of anybody there to give me any straight answers to any of my questions.

whats this y pipe do? feel pretty dumb asking this but haven't heard of many people replacing this on the 6.0

It collects exhaust from the 2 up-pipes and flows into the turbo.

I have the Liberator Y pipe on mine and it went on good just keep everything loose till you get all the bolts started in the threads. Its been on over a year and ZERO issues. Good to deal with.

Could you install it with the cab on? It looks like it would be impossible to install without pulling the cab or dropping the tranny

You should be able to install it with the cab on and engine/tranny in place. You may have to pull the intake manifold forward some but it should be pretty easy. I have pulled my stock y-pipe WITH my egr delete pipe section attacted with the cab down so I dont see how this would be any more difficult and should be easier because it has less bolt together sections.
