Building my trans

First ??? Is it possible to have either the trans or the converter to go out and not take the other with it??

My truck will go into gear and hold it.. then slide out and not go back in and so on.. Had lots of debris in the pan and filters and fluid was almost as black as motor oil...

For building my trans..
I was thinking Suncoasts iron pac 3 rebuild kit with billit input and an RCD converter..

But with there converter you can choose stall speed.. What should i get??
The truck is not a daily driver, Its my fun vehicle on the weekends and will only tow light very rarely..

Truck might see an injector upgrade in the near future but nothin bigger than 190s

Any insight will be appreaciated
thanks

It would be best to do the whole shebang and not worry. That fluid circulates all over and eats into the internals. The ironpac is a good kit, but check out bts and twisted transmission and see what they offer. I have heard superb things about both of their products. I have the suncoast parts, but they are way above and beyond the ironpac and have worked excellent for me.

i just sent an email to empire diesel in Dubuque Iowa.. They sell twisted transmissions.. Seems like a decent price for complete trans with converter and its only about 6-7 hours away so i wouldn have to come up with a core charge or shipping.. Waiting to hear back from them.. Inquired about there stage 2 5r110 with billit converter
