Preparing for 07 6.0 build. Questions.

Have a 07 F350. Has 25,000 miles and a typical ford problems normaly covered under warranty. Problem is the truck sat for 5 years and the warranty has ended.

I've gotten prices to fix and,.... and have decided to yank it out and build it right myself. Looking for 800 HP and 1000 Lbs tork at rear wheels but still be able to drive.

I know thats alot to exspect from a streetable truck. (Like to get close)

Who can tell me what I need to do?

Dang, that's a sweet find to only have 25k.
Well, fuel system, injectors, turbo, exhaust, intake, good tunes, and of course the bulletproof solution. Basically, I have no idea other than that.

fuel system, studs, egr delete, 190/75 injectors, powermax or 62-64/68/.70 non vgt turbo. That will give you 500-530hp and around 900-1000ft lbs

so it is obtainable. Whats the best online site to deal with online? Parts, Lnowledge. I have built gas engines but never been insiide a diesel.

I want the bottom end to be tough enough to take it also. Top to bottom stand in living room. (The woman has been informed.) ...and it will save money??

Put in a different engine...1k torque can be done on a stock turbo with a 5.9 Cummins...

If you are after big power, the 6.0 should be near the bottom of the list as far as engines go. Best looking truck though, hands down

Just do the normal mods and enjoy. Go chasing numbers you'll almost always come up a little disappointed, especially when a tune only 6.4 can get you those numbers...

really? you can get a 6.0 to 1000ft lbs alot faster and cheaper than a 5.9 swap.

Changing engines was sarcasm.

Man thats a sweet dually!! I will start by saying that I've never had my truck on a dyno (yet). But I have ALOT of friends with diesels and I've rode in a ton of built Cummins, Duramax, and Powerstrokes. I think 1000lb-ft. is pretty easy to get to in a 6.0, but forget the numbers. Seat of the pants, a 6.0 pulls freaking hard pretty much all through the rpm range making it feel stronger than some other motors making the same hp. I've had people on here tell me that my setup isn't making 500rwhp, yet I've out ran a LMM duramax that laid down 527rwhp and my friend with a Spartan tuned 6.4 (560-580rwhp) won't line up with me because in traffic I had to let off to keep from smashing into his tailgate and he knew it I don't think the numbers mean all that much.
