Couldn't buy it so we built it!

well i looked around everywhere and no one sells a dual 5 inch exhaust. so me and a buddy decided to build our own. it started off by building a single 5 inch and building off of that. we took a bunch of pictures to show you guys how the build went.

next came the task of making a piece to fit on to the exhaust

once we got this piece in place and pointed in a good direction we took it off and cut a hole in the original exhaust. we also added plates to help divide the exhaust evenly.

the last step was to tac weld every thing else in place, then finish weld everything and paint

That's innovative IMO. I personally would like a little more y to the split but still nice job. Hopefully it blows equal smoke out both sides.

well you can call that a dual exhaust if you want. I call it a dual tailpipe. it is symmetrical if that's the goal, myself its not worth giving up the spare tire hanger, of course maybe your tires are too large for it anyway

I think it turned out pretty nice. I've thought of doing the same thing, but I don't want to give up my spare tire. I did that on my old truck and that spare tire has been in the way in my bed for 5 years now, lol. Looks good though y'all!

Looks good if you ask me. The only thing I didnt like was the placement of your jack stands. I always put them out wider under between the u bolts.

That is the first dual outlet exhaust I have ever liked on a truck. I prefer a stock location outlet, but that is flat out awesome. Nice job.
