Need help with an EGR delete on my 06 PSD.

I bought my 2006 King Ranch and it has a RCD EGR delete kit on it. The truck has no current tuner and I am trying to figure what will take care of the check engine light issue and also still allow the cooling fan to work properly. Matt from Gearhead Automotive doesn't seem to have the answer either.

Someone told me to buy a used egr and just plug it in, that doesnt seem like it will work plus I don't really want the egr just flopping around on my intake.

Someone must have something to take care of this issue otherwise why would anyone install the kits at all right?

Please Help.

I personally dont have an EGR delete, but have read that an SCT X3 will do it. Look at Sinisters website, they actually sell an EGR delete kit w the tuner to get rid of the CEL. Hope that helps.

You can leave the valve in its hole plugged in. I have mine on top but you can leave it in.

Just plugging the valve in on an 06 will not clear the CEL. You will need a tuner.

The tuner will take care of the light, but the EGR will need to be plugged in to keep the fan operating properly.

Are you sure your fan doesn't work? I've only had mine come on once before for only a second. That was towing 15k in 100 degrees.

I heard mine once this summer towing my 8K TT...scared the hell out of me, that thing is LOUD! It shut down in 5sec or so.
