13s with a 6.0

Just curious what would it take to have a 6.0 PSD to run in the high or mid 13s without any drugs? Got a buddy thats really considering to play the game with his 6.0. Oh and no after market turbo neither. I heard someone with a well tuned SCT got in the High 13s with the basic exhaust and intake mods. Thanks.

it could probly be done with intake/exhaust/injectors/custom tunes/ and lower gears with racing slicks

we dont run slicks, we just use the "traction button" on the dash , the one thats "4 HI"

i'm not saying it can't be done, but i dont see a mid 13 coming from a powerstroke with just simple intake/exhaust/SCT mods without some drugs.

yes, the SCT will get your there on #2, but i am using larger injectors larger turbo to get the job done, and if you keep those items stock you will probably need some N2O to get the job done.

Well... i guess I should open my mouth at this point haha

I'm running a crew cab short bed truck that runs 14.2@94mph on 35" tires. If I returned to my stock tires, I'm pretty sure I'd break a 13.9 with a good run. What's done to my truck?

MBRP 4" turbo back
Stainless Intake tube
AFE Stage II intake
SCT custom tuned by Eric at Innovative Diesel. Extreme Race tune

I dunno what you would consider water/meth, but with that... I'll run 13.69@97mph. Running a 50/50 mix. 13.6 came with a new tune from Eric and running 15% meth

That time was with a blown head gasket. Have new studs and gaskets getting put in, waiting on new times, with motor holding all pressure inside!

Looks like high 13's seem to be the norm on the SCT if you can get a good enough launch.

Most run very close to 14.00 - highly dependant upon weight, driver, trans, etc... though. I've seen 2 trucks setup almost identically and one ran a 13.8 and the other ran a 14.33 (Same tuner for their SCT also)

Sure would be nice to be able to get a 6spd manual into the 13's with minimal work like with the autos. Heck, I'll be happy getting into the 14's...one of these days, if I can stop breaking expencive parts.

I really didn't mean mid 13s I meant anything close to mid 13s with the exception of aftermarket injectors.

Seems like that's what we're keying you in on! good SCT tune, intake, exhaust, stock tires and you should see high 13s off a good launch

Not me the guy that wants me to get him the tuner and gauges for his truck. He will get hooked to the power he has then and later will turn out like you guys.
I figure on doing some research on the 6.0 soon cause I can almost predict he'll be askin for more power.:burnout First off it was my neighbors PSD then this other guy and now this guy! 1 person gets a SCT then everyone in the town that owns a 6.0 wants one. Oh well I guess they still have the kid in them.
