almost a grand for gauges and an exhaust setup, damn. My exhaust consists of a 4" downpipe, then 4" pipe that the exhaust/muffler shop had laying against the wall, to the tailpipe piece that wraps over the axle. If you can piece the exhaust together and skip buying the whole "mbrp exhaust system" you could probably save a lot of $$. If you have a trusted muffler shop in your area see if they have any 4" pipe laying around they will most likely charge a lot less then vendors or mbrp or whoever. jmo.

If its the SS409 then it will rust because it does have some iron in it, if it's SS304 then it will stay shinny.

As far as lasting longer, if you scratch off the aluminized coating when installing, you'll get rust.

Either way, SS409 or aluminized should last you a very long time.

If you want all out shinny look forever, go with the expensive SS304.
