05 F250 Trans Rebuild..
Hope Im in the right thread..
I am looking into rebuild my transmission on my 05 F250. Would like some recommendations on what upgrade rebuild kits to use and what torque converter to use.. I was either thinking ATS or RCD torque converter. What do u all think???

look into a Precision industires Torque Converter. one of the best out there! and the suncoast kit looks to be one of the best out there

the full suncoast kit is like 1055.00 i think and the torque converters run about the same iirc

Tq converter is probably why it seems so expensive... all tq converters I've seen run anywhere from $1000 -1400, $1000 for clutch packs. Plus oil, filters and the soleniods... $2800 seems right to me. Better than $5000 for one that's already built!

I had it profressional done way to Many little parts and specifications for theese trans. I have triple disk convertor billet input shaft stage 3 iron clutch packs and deep trans pan along with filters. And it was 1400 to rebuild and install. The trans shifts diwn much fast if your running stock tuning it will feel a little firmer, youll really notice its full potentail with sct custom tuning. Erics x race with buikt trans add ins to it was not liking my trans at all very rough ad slow and lugged the truck down. Matts srl extreme is noticably motr powerful i boost more and the trans is very nice with it
