A block lift would give you the height but won't increase ride quality. Most likely a drop pitman arm. I can't pull the rest off the top of my head, someone else will probably chime in.

Would it make the ride worse or the same just higher and sorry but what is a pitman arm?

You can add blocks to the rear but it is not safe to add blocks to the front when you have leaf springs.

And with 4" lift you will need longer shocks.

I would like to be able to throw 35"s on the truck but I don't want to be looked at and told by others I have a bit** lift but also don't want to spend 3k on it either and what would I have to do dif to the front instead of blocks and where is the best deal that won't ride like crap and other than 4 shocks do I need longer brake lines and what else would I have to mess with

There's a reason they are called lift "kits", they have everything needed to lift your truck. Block kits are cheaper than rear leafs, AVOID stacking blocks, also. Oil shocks that come with most kits aren't as stiff as the nitrogen charged upgrades. It's a 3/4 ton truck, it's going to ride stiff when lifted. Now it's just a matter of finding the kit that fits your wallet the best.

Ok I don't mind a rough ride it rides stiff now that's fine but I have heed people say they hate the way the lift rides. Which brand lift do most people seem to go with for the powerstrokes?
