new exhaust

I am new to this forum, but have had many diesel trucks, however all i have ever done to them is lifts and tires. I currently have a 05 crew cab long bed with a 6.0 and want to do either a cat back or turbo back system and want to keep it as quiet as possible, which system have people had the best luck with. thanks

The exhaust systems out there are pretty close when it comes to sound I would say. The big difference comes with quality and fittment issues. If you want quiet just do a cat back exhaust and it won't really be any louder then stock.

you can go turbo back and just keep the factory cat in the line and use the aftermarket muffler that will come with the kit. When I originally hooked up my MBRP I kept the cat on and it had a nice throaty rumble, but not offensively loud.

my exhaust is a 4" turbo back w/o a cat and with a high flow muffler -- its no louder than normal inside the cab while driving around town..

on the highway it has a slight rumble tone... barely anything more than stock if you ask me..

heck, with the radio up a tad or a windy day, you can't hear a difference!

Check this out

I have a turbo back and its hardly louder then stock, best part is there is no drone in the cab at any speed. If your looking for a performance increase but dont want an overly loud exhaust I highly recomend this one

I run a 4" cat back system on mine and am very happy with since the dealership has not said a word about it it was in the for 30000 mile check up. It depends on what you want hear on the other end and how much you want to pay.
