Maybe a Problem???????? Help???

Ok so awhile ago, I was approched by a auto parts manager that had the Bully dog master downloader.

He offered it as a trial. I asked him a fair bit about it and how to take it off. he claims it takes it self off the truck after 6 hours of running time.

and that it only added 80hp.

Well I barley noticed that power and I didnt want to run it very long as my gauges werent in yet. I gauged my self to my buddys truck 92 F-150 that he swapped a 302 in to and did up a bit. he normaly could pull on me (stock other then intake and exhaust, and 37'' tires.) after the bully dog "trial" I could pull on him about a truck length. I knew it worked some what at that point.

now Im not really sure if it has taken it self off and I have certainly been running my truck more the 6 hours. probly more like a few weeks of running time now.

I will be ordering my SCT Xcal2 in the next couple of weeks, but after I plug it in to my truckI will need to get the stratogy code. will this effect that code if it is still installed?

Or will it just download it as the stock program and the upload the new file?

If its still on there what should and what can I do?

I will try to find the guy that put it on and see if he can take it off but if not, can I get my truck reflashed?

Anyhelp would be much appreciated right now. Thanks a million.

Good Morning,

Even if it is supposed to cancel itself out, we had an issue where the computer retained remnants of the programming or so we believe. I would suggest you call Bullydog and ask them exactly what you need to do in order to uninstall all parts.

We have a customer who did the Bullydog try before you buy. When he installed the SCT he called to say it was running horribly. He had a friend at the dealership reflash his truck and all was well with the SCT. Don't know if the Bullydog was the direct cause.

Thanks,
Vivian

i woudl definately get it reflashed, when i did the try before you buy it was ok, but it ran weak after it " went away" and that took 3 weeks to do. get the reflash, then the SCT should be good to go!
