Straight Piped....

for 30 minutes. Well my wife had a girl get together for a couple hours tonight and I decided to pull of the cat off my stock exhaust. I got it off in about 15 minutes and drove around for a half hour or so. All I can say is HOLY **** the sound is awsome. Gotta love that turbo whistle! After the drive I put the cat back on. I just wanted to know what it sounded like.

Here is where I need your help. I love the turbo whistle, but I dont want the V8 gasser sound. So should I get an exhaust with a free flow muff or should I just get a cat delete pipe for the stock exaust?

I was thinking about getting a FBD 4" turbo back.

Mine's an MBRP, but they're all about the same. I've got a 4" turbo back with the MBRP muffler. At idle and low rpm's its not offensively loud, just a bit deeper than the stock, and of course there's a ton of whistle which I love. But its only when I'm really on it it sounds like a big block gasser (which I also love). I really love it when I'm getting on the interstate over an overpass or when I'm driving under one and hammer it. The sound reverberates off the concrete to the side and you get the full effect. If you do straight pipe it, go with a full 4" turbo back and my money said you'll be addicted to the sound just like the rest of us!
