Tuning your SCT Xcal
I bought mine from DJ's was curious to know if I need to go through and do my axle ratio and tire stuff. I thought these came customed tuned to my application?

i never messed with any of that and mines been runnin good, the only thing i changed was set my speed limiter to off

10-4, mine just seems to not have as much punch as I want out of looney. it smokes like no tommorow but the power is not what I expected. Or maybe I am getting used to it and need more

You should have gotten an email from Vivian with a web site where you input your tire size, and it converts it to a number that you set the xcal to. Hope this helps. As far as the axle ratio you can get that of the data plate on the door jam.

you may also be running out of fuel and that's why it doesnt seem as powerful as you'd expect.
upgrade your fuel system/injectors/fass/return xover kit and you see more gains with SCT |

i'm glad you brought this up! i have never really checked to see whats all on the sct till last night, but from the tire/axle ratio screen if you scroll down there is a ton of things you can change. i havent seen anyone put up a post about changing any of the parameters, nor did i experiment
. they might already come totally tweaked for that paticular tune. has anyone changed thiers? i wonder how much of those parameters the person writing the files already has changed?

I knew you can change a lot on them...but I DO NOT know even remotely close to even think of trying to change any of it on my own....I just put my trust in my tuner, and so far it has paid off.
