How much horsepower will the stock turbo support?

Just like the title says, how much horsepower can the stock turbo support? Almost forgot, 2005 6.0.

I'd say 450 is about it. That's probably on the high side, but I'm sure there's someone somewhere making that with a modified fuel system and a stock turbo.

How long do you want the stock turbo to last???
I'm sure you could get well over 500 with some big sticks and spray, but don't expect it to live too long... otherwise I'd agree that about 450 is the max to still be reliable

That's about what i figured, getting ready to stud it and put in a set of injectors and i was trying to decide on what size injectors. Looks like 155's will be max for stock turbo?

the 03 turbo has been known to support 500 whp or slightly just north of that on fuel ... thats where im headed at right now as a goal before i upgrade.

of course you need the supporting mods such as injectors and the tuning to do it..

So what's the difference between the 03 and 05 turbo?

vanes thats about it i think. one just whitles louder than the other. i would look into the batmowheel if i were you to drop into the stock turbo. has been proven to drop egt's which i think is the main part to killing a turbo

425-450 effeciently, but as stated above, the 03 has been known to handle more. Anything above these power levels will shorten the life of the turbo especially with the use of nitrous.

So what do you guys suggest for a combination to maximize my stock turbo? Injector size, nozzle size, etc. Trying to get as close to 500 horse as possible, with stock turbo and i do not want to run nitrous.
