Edge CTS questions - EAS add ons
Forgive me I did search but didn't see it spelled out like I needed...
So I'm about to order me an Edge CTS. I understand needing the EGT add on. I'm guessing the EAS pressure sensor is so I can monitor fuel pressure. What can I monitor with the universal sensor input and do I need it? Basically this is what I'm thinking of ordering so far: (1) EDGE Insight CTS Data Monitor - monitor stuff that can be pulled via OBD2 (2) EDGE Insight EGT Probe Kit with EAS - monitor EGTs (3) EDGE EAS Pressure Sensor - monitor fuel pressure and this is the one I'm not sure I need: (4) EDGE EAS Universal Sensor Input - do I need this to be able to plug the pressure sensor (#3 above) in without splicing wires??? Also do I need a fuel filter cap that is tapped so I can monitor fuel pressure or can I use that bung on the side? Thanks! Last edited by HMM; 01-16-2012 at 08:23 AM. |

From what I could find you have to have the universal input in order to hook the pressure sensor into the eas. Make sure you get the egt with the eas starter kit. Once you have the starter kit you need a universal input for every two sensors other than the egt. I would use the bung on the side of the filter cap and source a hose with the proper adapters from napa or a hose supplier. There was a thread with all the necessary fittings and part numbers somewhere... I think it cost them $9 or something.

Thanks for the info. So basically I'm going to pay 129.00 so I can plug the other 129.00 part into it...typical...and then source the adapter.

Arent you a busy man these days Raul
I think Edge has made a phenomenal product with this EAS kit now. Far simpler than mounting analogs. If only they could pull a few loose ends together and offer that fuel bowl adapter... |

DieselManor - Accessories
You need the M12x1.5 adapter. Screw this into the fuel filter housing then screw Edge sensor right into the end of this adapter. |
