6.7 cummins?
Has anyone with our 6.0 raced a new2011 6.7 H.O. Cummins? A guy that works for me just bought one with a 6" lift and 37" tires! What blows my mind is he had a 06 250 just like mine without all the mods!

I have seen that video I was under the impression the 6.0 had twins on it! Maybe not though! From what I hear about the 6.7 cummins it falls on its face and it doesn't have balls like 5.9 did! That's just what I've read!

Being a true dodge guy I will say the 5.9 is awesome. The 6.7 from 07.5-09 is an ok motor and from 2010 its an ok motor stock.. The 6.7 in my opinion stock suck, but once you uncork them and put a tuner on them they haul butt. but in stock form Id take a 5.9 anyday of the week. My dream is to send the Ex to destroked and run a 5.9 cummins out of an 06 and then put a built allison behind it... Im waiting to get the 6.0 bulletproofed and get a SCT with some custom tunes to see what the 6.0 can do though.. Im going into this with an open mind..

IMO, buy the best whole truck and not just one best component. That is why I bought my Ford. I can tell you that a tuned 6.0 is straight up quick (about the closest thing to the throttle response of a gas V8) and even quicker when you stick in a little larger sticks and turbo. Sure it may not have quite the amount of torque that the cummins has but with about a 1.75 torque to horsepower ratio and the fact that it revs and spools very fast, it will just about run off and leave a dodge. I personally think that doing a good build on a 6.0 is a better/cheaper option than "destroking" a ford truck especially since we already have a great transmission IMO. Let's face it, a stock Allison isnt going to hold up to 500+rwhp stock. JMOs. |

My boss has an '08 2500 Ram with the 6.7 cat and dpf delete turbo back exhaust, intake and an H&S tuner, along with an EGR delete. His brother has an '05 F350 6.0 truck with intake/exhaust, EGR delete, headstuds and some custom tunes, not sure which, SCT X3 of some sort. Both trucks similar mod for mod. My Boss blew the doors off of his brothers 6.0 it wasn't even funny. I'm all about ford as I have one, and the 6.0 of my bosses brother is a nice truck, but it didn't have ANYTHING for the 6.7 Cummins. From a roll and from a dead dig, the 6.0 never had a chance. His brother was extremely butt hurt (considering he's been telling my boss how much of a POS his truck and his cummins are)

The reason for that probably is due to the fact that your bosses brother needs some injectors and turbo. The stock injectors and turbo wont beat a 6.7 that is deleted and tuned.
