I just finished doing the studs an upgrades to my 04/F350 4x4CrewCab drw,LongBed with very heavy 22.5" tires. Truck has always been stock an I liked it just fine its a dd an a work truck. I drive pretty slow most times.

I got a buddy (well kinda a buddy) who has a 05/F250 2wd CrewCab sw,Short bed pretty boy truck (anything that he thinks looks cool is bolted on it). An since my truck has been down I get a call everyday making fun of me an my truck.... mostly in good fun but it has really started to piss me off. Last comment was he wanted to come over an make a vid for YouTube of me working on my truck to make fun of the time its taken me to do the head studs. It took me over a month. I own a small business an only have so much time to work on it. He takes his truck to a shop to have the oil changed.....

He has a 4" turbo back ex with a muffler and a bully dog 6gun? (maybe a banks.. a knob you can turn 1-5 I think, Ive never noticed a difference when he turns the knob) an a different air cleaner.

I'm just wondering if I get the truck running strong with no tuner and I feel its tight an safe for a tuner would it be possible to beat his truck with my extra weight an being a 4x4?

I have a just cleaned 03turbo an all the stuff in my signiture. This is just something that keep me working under the hood when I was tired. I thought you can laugh now B$tch just wait till I finish.

So this is just for fun, I may never do anything but also have never been in a truck with any tune, so I have no idea what they can a cant do. I enjoy working on my stuff an I'm cool with him dropping it off to change the oil. I'm just wondering.

Buy an sct x3, and contact any of
The different tuners around, Eric a innovative, Vivian at
Quick tricks, Chris B at TSD, or Matt.. (but I don't remember his company)... You can get yourself 3 custom tunes, good for daily driving, towing, or just a race tune... (most people run the race tunes every day and have no problems)

You will smoke him so bad he'll wish he never opened his mouth... The difference between his tunes and a good custom tune with an sct is like a v6 mustang vs a gt mustang...

An SCT with a strong race tune from any respected tuner should shut him up... I would think you would be right next to him if not beat him.

Check out Innovative Diesel, Quicktricks auto, Gearhead Performance, and Truck Source Diesel... Any of these will get you what ya need

your truck will be more than capable than beating your buddies truck with the proper tuning. the best tuning for the 6.0 is sct tuner with custom tuning from either matt at gearhead automotive or eric from innovative diesel performance. not only will you beat him but you will blow his doors off!! and 4x4 can be used as an asset if you would be comfortable in launching in 4hi

I'm smiling ear to ear....

After all the time I've spent here while I was doing the heads I've read about the SCTx3 an the custom tunes but since I've never been in a truck that has a tune in it I have no idea what it feel like.

I remember I took my truck in for a recall (something to do with wiring) and when I drove away I was sure the truck was A LOT slower.

Lets give it a couple months an see if everything holds up tight an then I'll play with a SCT.

Just because your a dually, don't mean it's slow!! He may have a lighter truck, but you can do a 4hi boosted launch. With a SCT and custom tunes, you'll spank his @$$!!!
