Return to Stock???

I am going to be pulling my FICM today or tomorrow to send off to FICMrepair.com but I am wondering if I should return to my stock tune before doing so? I know they say they don't do anything with the flash on the FICM but I want to see what others do???

I didnt return to stock when I sent mine to Quicktricks. No problems at all when I got it back. You will be fine leaving what ever tune in.

While I havent pulled mine yet to be sent out, I definitely dont plan on returning the truck to stock when I do. FICM strategy is COMPLETELY independent of ECM strategy when it comes to changing either one.

I don't have a reason why, but I put my truck back to stock before I swapped my FICM for an Innovative mild tuned one. After the swap when I loaded up a tune again it didn't recognize my truck. Cost me an unlock on my Xcal. Not a big deal but I wasn't expecting it at the time.

The last truck I had was an 05 and I had a superchips tune loaded up on it. I got called in for a recall under warranty. I unloaded the tune first and put it back to stock. When I got the truck back they had reflashed it. Had to send the superchips tuner back in to the manufacturer to get it updated before it would work again. That was in the old days....

I bet they were. Just make sure to use some electrical grease on the connectors when you reinstall it as if you have to pull it again, the job should be easier then.

Why does my truck miss out if I return it to stock setting. Around 40 mph and more. It's like the turbo is missing ever so often. I have the SCT with no custom tunes. Help!!!
