We sell, install, and have run Banks. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

I have heard good and bad things about banks but i personally havent run any of there products so i cant personally tell you but im sure someone that has will be on here soon...I run the Xcal2 with DJ'S tunes and love it, i personally think its the best programmer for the 6.0!

If you are tuning a 6.0....I say the SCT Xcal 2 (or the newer Livewire or Xcal3) is the way to go, IMHO....I have never ran Banks personnaly though

NO IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

for the money you can have a much better , safer, more reliable product from SCT with custom tunes. modules (banks,edge,etc..) are NOT safe for your motor/tranny.
if you are going to spend your hard earned money please do it wisely.

I have a 6 gun, but i dont run it anymore.

I finally saw the light and bought an SCT from Elite.

It can help control so many things and makes my tranny shift like a F1 race car.

So I would say spend your money on a better product than the 6 gun.

I have had the Banks and the SCT and there is no comparison. SCT wins hands down. Its not even close.

I already have an SCT. I'm just curious why the Edge and Banks are bad. My cousin's truck went crazy after he reflashed with his Xcal1, so now he's wanting to get an Edge since he's gunshy about the downloaders. The truck ended up going back to normal after a while, but the fuel gauge, tach, etc. all went full sweep and then were reading way wrong for a while.

Do the Banks and Edge have more aggressive timing? I noticed Edge claims to defuel when it detects tranny slippage. Do our SCTs do that?

i didnt like the way the banks defuels to "save" the tranny. it felt like it was slipping the tranny to me. it has good power, dont get me wrong, you can just do so much more with the SCT.

The Banks made my tranny shift like it was a stick shift. It never shifted right until I saw the light. Dont waste your hard earned money on banks get the SCT you will not regret it. Give DJ a call he will hook you up.
