Exhaust comments
Well tomorrow I am finally ordering my exhaust, I decided to go with the Flopro 5" turbo back w/4" dp. Ebay has them for $350.00. There was another similar kit by Diamond Eye but they were about $20.00 more. Anyone have any experience with either kit? How bad is the install of the 4" dp, and do I need to wrap the dp with insullation? Any help will be appreciated.

I have MBRB 4" TB and it comes out at a 45* the diamond eye comes out exactly same as factory which I didn't like! It's really just a matter of opinion and what u want!

I have read some post the 4" dp is a mofo to get in. My dp is 3.5 and slid right in no prob! Plus they say that .5 doesn't really make a difference

I've heard good stuff about diamond eye's fitment, havent heard much about flopro.
Good luck getting a 4"dp in, especially wrapped. No need to wrap the dp, IMO |

I installed my 5" diamond eye and love it. the DP was not a problem getting in although I had help. Plus we had it on a rack. A buddy of mine has a lift rack in his personal shop so we were able to get to it easily. total install time with removal of old exhaust was roughly 2 hrs. mine was install in my profile pic. 04 f350 drw. love the whistle

Did you cut the stock dp pipe out or did you remove the crossmember? Did you wrap the dp with insulation? I just ordered the flopro 5" w/4" dp and I read in another forum that Diamond eye and flopro com from the same manufacturer so hopefully mine goes together as easily as yours. Thanks!

I did not have to cut out the dp. I did take the cross member off to get it out. We did not wrap the new one. My old do was not wrapped. It is a tight fit though. A second set of hands is a big help.

Cut the old stuff out, The 4 in DP is pretty easy, extra hands helps line it up to the turbo. Just assemble everything before tightening anything down. then work from the front back. 2 hour job
