SCT all the way. Do a search for SCT, you'll find lots of info. Tunes your tranny as well. There are also custom tunes made for non-studded trucks.

Gauges first, you need to check the health of he motor first before you start putting on a tuner.
Things to consider about owning a 6.0L

As far as tuner, SCT with custom tunes.

^^^^ What lilpooh said. Gauges aren't an option for a 6.0. Then SCT with custom tunes. The Edge CTS or Scangauge 2 are good options for engine monitoring.

Step 1: Get an Edge Insight CS/CTS
Step 2: Get an SCT Tuner w/ custom tunes

Step 3: Close the thread.

Done and done.
