I love the X3 by SCT. It is easy to use and the custom tunes are awesome. I run the Looney Tune from QuickTricks (Mrs. Vivian) and I also have 3 tunes from Innovative. I am hoping to get Mrs. Vivian to build me a strong Tow Tune in the next few days... You can't go wrong with the SCT. It really tunes the tranny in addition to the engine. Most other tuners only raise the pressure of the tranny and don't actually re-tune the tranny. Why "risk" a several thousand dollar tranny to save a few bucks on a tuner? Just my opinion! Good Luck!!

5 minutes looking around here will tell you that's right regardless of who writes the tunes.

I ran the bullydog before joining this site and read on here about the sct so I tried it! Called up mrs. Vivian at quicktricks and got the looney and looney wild. There is no substitute for the sct on the 6.0

Only certain SCT devices come with the canned tunes. Canned tunes are pre-programmed, off the shelf tunes that come with certain SCT models just like Edge,Bullydog,Banks, ect, ect. It's a one size fits all.

Custom tunes are written by authorized SCT tune writers. The tune writers write tunes based off your year truck and PCM strategy, along with what ever bolt on performance parts you added. You also can have the tunes tweaked to suit your needs, like early TC lock-up, turn off EGR valve, late TC lock-up,ect,ect.

These tune writers give names to there tunes like,

Looney, looney wild, street looney, ect, ect. Writen by Vivian at Quicktricks.

SRL,SRL+,SRL++, 8k tow, ect by Matt at Gearhead.

Extreme race, extreme street, ect by Eric at Innovative.

So the sct livewire at e- bay comes with programmer plus 3 extra tunes one of them was called bazooka I guess that gives you the most horsepower and if you run that tune will the truck be able to handle it
