edge or sct???

i want to buy a tuner id like to go with sct but i need a monitor as well. i was looking at the edge cts as a monitor. i am debating looking to be cost effective should i just go with sct live wire? will it monitor the things i need it too or the same as the edge? or should i go with the edge monitor and tunes from edge as well? i have also seen some people use a "scan guage II" to monitor.... any info would be great dont want to spend an arm and a leg on the tuner and monitor so i can do the other needed things for a 6.0. also it is not studded and stock EGR for now.

I have an edge insight Cs for sale. I'm in Cincinnati if your interested. It's in the performance and drivetrain section of the for sale. Use the edge insight for gauges and sct x3 for tunes. This is the best route I think. The edge is very clean looking. I have the sct livewire and it can watch up to 6 parameters but u have to turn it on and off every time. It's a pain. I tune my truck then I put it under my seats. Pm me if your interested.

The ONLY thing I would use an Edge for is a monitor! I had a Edge Juice Platinum set uo and it made my 3-5 very irratic for no apperant reason. The only fix was to remove it. I had used it without issue for about 5 years.

Further, SCT Aggressive Street from Innovative smokes less and feels like Hot on Edge. The Xtreme Race is a real power house, be careful!

I like my Livewire. I built a mount for it and it stays on my dash all the time. You do have to turn it on and off, but its really not that big of a deal. Make sure you get an EGT probe with whatever you get.

I already have a EGT gauge in the truck it's an analog would I still Need the probe if I decided to monitor EGT on the live wire and also what 6 things should i monitor I have boost and EGT analog and I know EOT, ECT, TFT any other 3 I should put on the monitor

I say remove trans temp and use ect, eot, ficm voltge, icp, battery voltage, fuel pressure if you get the expandable probe

Ok sounds good 2 questions though, will I have to do anything to monitor ficm volts or plug in and go and also what is icp ?
