dumb nube q's

What is a HPOP, and what is the point in upgrading the intake elbow. From what I've been told I don't need to mess with my intake at all?

There are no dumb questions, we are all here to share information

HPOP - High Pressure Oil Pump

There is no need to replace/upgrade the intake elbow. There is no real performance gain in doing this unless you are pushing major HP. Spend your money else where on more important things like deleteing the EGR and so forth. Read up on the forum and you will figure it out very fast and if not just ask a question.

HPOP = High Pressure Oil Pump. It takes the oil to higher pressures required by the injectors.

Not sure on the elbow upgrade.

I've read the stock intake is good to 500hp. So it isn't 'required.' CAI (cold air intakes) do flow more air and do look cool under there.
