SCT X2 vs. X3?

Found a guy on CL, he's got a SCT xcalibrator2 he used on his mustang. He says it's unlocked and he's selling it for $80. If it is unlocked, I can just add tunes for my truck to it right?

I've got an X3 for my '04 6.0, what's the difference between the x2 and x3?

The only difference is that the X2 is older and does not have any canned tunes on it. It will only hold up to 3 tunes at a time. I am using an X2 that was used for a Mustang and have had no issues with it what so ever. If it is unlocked, then that is a steal. How many unlocks does it have left on it?

I believe he said it has 4 unlocks left on it. I'll probably be picking it up friday. Although it Christmas this sunday, I'll probably have to wait until after the 1st of the year to get tunes.

Damn dude, you are getting a pretty good deal. For the price of that X2 and 3 tunes from Matt, you will payout about what I paid for my X2 alone.

Who's tunes are you thinking about going with?

Better question... Why are you getting the X2 when you already have an X3?

I'm thinking about going with Vivian again. I was thinking of trying Matt's tunes.

As for your question as to why I need the X2. I can't get used to driving a stock truck

Well sure, that makes sense, when one truck is down what do you do.... buy another one tell ya can fix the other.

I think you should tryout Matt's, that way you can compare tunes. What year is the fill in truck?

The "new" one is an '06. Well this truck can be a DD and I can take it to work. Not to mention all the stuff I couldn't/wouldn't do to my harley, new grill, wheels and crap like that, I can do to this truck.

I'll get in touch with Matt as soon as I get the sct. Plus, the Harley runs good enough to make a run or two and there just so happens to be a little more than 1/4 from stop sign to stop sign in the entrance to my neighborhood lol

Make sure you start a build thread for your "new" one and send me a link to it. Then, make sure you get someone competent enough to drive one of them and race your trucks against each other. Get vids too!!




Maybe you should slam the new one and throw some dubs on it, that is what you Cali folk like isn't it?
