SCT TUNER PROBLEM
Had a problem with tuner and custom tunes and wanted to share what I did to correct.It's been rainning alot here and my SLR extreme was a hand full,so I reflashed with street custom tune I got fron MKM.After about four days,it dried up and I went to put Matt's SLR+,just because I really didn't run it that long before I installed extreme(6hrs
).Anyway I decided to go back with extreme to show a friend of mine who had a 6.0 powerstroke 5 years ago,the power improvements since.When I reflashed SLR extreme it would not take,it would just stay on SLR+,I could tell by EGT,and boost.I then went back to stock and updated SCT scanner only to have tuner locked up.I contacted SCT and got hold of tech rep.and he told me tuner timed out when I was updating.He then helped me over phone and by remote computer.I downloaded my custom tunes from gearheads,and then flashed truck.Back to extreme
SCT tech was very helpfull and they have a great product,glad I used them,thru info from here.
