Which one is best to go with?

I though i was reading something a long while back about not using the 58v if towing?

That's right a long while back there was a theory that said it wasnt safe to tow with a 58v ficm but now it has been proven that they are just as reliable towing or driving empty and most folks who tow notice better low end pulling. Now two ways around it IMO. Get the 58v FICM if yours is toast.

I had a list of other things to get but pretty sure its going bad so probably be buying one of these first. Testing it sat morning to find out for sure though. Might as well get the best one I can if its bad. What company would you go with to get one. I have been looking at swamps here recently.

alright another question. If I go with 58v from swamps do I have to get new tunes. will it change my strategy.

Swamps is the most popular for sure. You can get the FICM tune if you want. I have heard it helps add about 40hp. I would order mine from Vivian at QuickTricksAuto.com. Hers are the cheapest I have seen and they all are heavy duty 58v units.

A new FICM tuned or not will not affect your current tune on your truck as it is separate from the ECM. Hope this helps.

My FICM has started to only be 43-44v on the first start of the day.
The rest of the time it is a sold 46.5-48.5v.
I have a 200amp alt. and newer battery's and the volts are fine.
Is the FICM on the way out?
This just started a few weeks ago.
