Strategy?

Hey Guys,

looking to order me a SCT tuner this weekend with some custom tunes from quick tricks, thing is I currently don't have a PC (will be getting one within the month) but they said they could load my tuner with the tunes I want before they ship it to me, however they asked if I could get a strategy for them so, so called up my local performance shop asked them but they have no idea what a strategy is. Is there another term for strategy or is there a way to do it so when I going over there later today so any advice/help/how to to get it?

You can also give them the processor code that is on the pcm on your vehicle, should be a 4 characters usually 3 letters and a number, you can do a google search on wheres my pcm for (your year make and model) and it may tell you where to find it

will that give numbers for both engine and tranny? she said that she needs a strategy for both engine and tranny

You must have a 7.3 truck?

nope its a 6.0 and I am going to a performance shop later who has one

I was directing the 7.3 comment to PaulBoss. If your performance shop has an SCT programmer, just plug it into your truck and go to vehicle info. Click vehicle info and then click on read strategy. Both should come up and there you go.
