EGR plug is a waste of money. The EGR valve isn't the issue and removing it won't do any good. Only way to cure the EGR concern is to completely remove the cooler. As to the code, it will clear it and then immediately come back.

I wouldn't waste my money on it, just pop your EGR Valve out and tack weld it shut, same difference but FREE! You will get a CEL that your EDGE WILL NOT CURE, only thing on the market right now is SCT. Then give us a call and order an EGR Delete when you get the change saved uP!

Blocking the egr flow will help greatly. It will not cure but it will help greatly with how the engine runs. You will mostlikely get an egr code for flow.

Look at this link about the edge.
edge juice with attitude, no display, truck runs bad

The egr delete will throw a code I have the sinister eger delete on my 05 and it doesnt make the check engine light come on but it will throw a code that comes up on my insight and sct when I look at it.

I have a full EGR delete and just haven't had the signature changed. I had just a blockoff plate which is different than the plug you are talking about. The blockoff plate goes between the up pipe and EGR cooler to block exhaust gases from getting to the cooler. Just removing the EGR valve and installing that plug or tack welding it closed won't do any good because the exhaust gases still come through the cooler.
