Exhaust O2 sensor question

I have a 2006 6.0 that is bone stock. I have 101,000 miles on it and have had zero problems or issues with this truck, however I have an intercooler boot starting to leak and can't get the dieselsite boots till mid December according to their website. I was curious about removing the cat and stock exhaust and going with an aftermarket kit. I've been warned that the lack of an O2 sensor on the exhaust will screw up the performance. Any truth to that? Any help would be appreciated.

Its true. Lack of an o2 sensor will affect engine performance IF it was originally equipped with one. Fortunately your 6.0 does not have any to worry about. look up CCV mod to eliminate future ic boot contamination. And Welcome aboard.
