CLEANING TURBO WHAT SHOULD I DO WHILE I AM THERE
So after having one of the diesel techs I met run my truck through a ford computer. I found my turbo is over boosting about 1 psi at 1200 rpm, so instead of it being at 2 it is at almost 3psi. Probable cause turbo veins sticking. Since I am taking it apart to clean and replace the actuator ring (Sp) what else should I do while I am in there
??? What parts should I change out?

All three items on THIS WEBPAGE, actually.
The mounting hardware kit, if only for new turbo bolts. At under 8 bucks, how can you go wrong? The turbo oil supply line and the drain tube are recommended because they have both been updated. Both of the stock parts can develop restrictions within them to oil flow. |

Always a great help NYC F-350, that is what I thought but wanted to see if anything else should be done. It is going to get replaced in 8 months with a powermax but I need it to work until then!

Update your STC fitting on the HPOP. This will add about an hour to the job and save you a tow some day.
No longer a 6.0 virgin. New STC, Cleaned turbo, welded EGR cooler closed. PIC's |
