04 Injectors
My #1 injector has to be replaced on my early 04 6.0 powerstroke. It is stuck open. I can only afford to do just the one maybe another. While I'm in there can I do any maintenance to the others? Clean them? Anything else I should do while I'm in there? I just changed the HPOP. Do any of you have links to good prices or places to get them. Is there a huge difference between refirb or new?

just replace that 1 and you will be fine. run some rev-x in your oil after you get it put back together and that will help also! nothing else to really do until it goes out since you are only replacing 1. and there are no new injectors all the ones from ford are even rebuilt so it doesnt matter. here is a good website where i found them for 199 a pop Remanufactured 6.0L Powerstroke Injectors by Performance Machine & MFG.

Complete set of new 6.0L Powerstroke injectors w/ Warranty. Found this on craigslist Houston and called the guy. Supposedly he is a supplier of core injectors and fuel pumps to the people who rebuild for the oems and somehow he is able to get the rebuilt parts direct from the rebuilders even packaged in motor craft packaging seemed nice on the phone and very helpful might look into that 1560 for a full set is a deal

Ya he said it is toast. The sheet he gave me says, #1 injector open

Is it smoking? Or by open it could mean there is a problem with the wiring.

Not smoking. He said it is electronic. It is rough to get going until it warms up, but runs well otherwise. I'm fixin to replace that #1 injector pretty soon.

Spool valve issue! I would try some rev ex in there first! If nothing else it will help keep the other injectors working better!
