hi all, i try to translate this thing to your languge as acuarate i can.
about emission measurement to diesel engines in our country there is one main thing what they look. and it's call K-value.
that is done with a aproved smoke tester what inspection stations have. or autogarages who have bought one and have license to do measurements. like our and many other garages have.
to say it simple it test how thick is the smoke what comes out to tail pipe.
when you are stationary and slam the pedal to the floor for some perioid of time ( the tesetr say when to let off) it sounds raw and sometimes it is just that...sounds awfull.
-diesel engine 2,5
-turbocharged diesel engine 3,0
-after -06 manufactered diesel engines 1,5
(euro4 and 5)
so my -03 Excursion 6.0 PS max limit is 3,0
my mods from the stock:
arp studs,58V FIMC,6.4l banjos,blue spring,egr-delete,sct/srl+ and cat delete.
you could think that it is impossible to pass that test with this truck cause of all TDI engines have same max limit if its 1L or 10L engine...
i was pretty glad when test passed with value of 0,25
what is low as it can!
so i think my truck have pretty right working and clean diesel engie.
in our country diesels wount need obd report to pass emission inspections.
